Rene Acevedo Rodriguez

    Rene Acevedo Rodriguez was born in Huajuapan de Leon Oaxaca, Mexico. In 2019, he worked as a Family Support Specialist with the Everett School District and he has a Business Administration and Retail associate’s degree from Everett Community College. Rene is currently Vice President of the Foundation for Academic Endeavors and a board member of the Latino Educational Training Institute, providing support for post-secondary students to develop leadership skills and mentoring youth students. His future goal is to obtain a teaching certificate to further deepen his understanding of families and the educational system and to be able to continue his work as a Family Support Specialist. He is married to his wife, Oriss Acevedo, and has two beautiful kids, Jazmin and Santiago. During the weekends he runs a part- time DJ business and lighting production for local bands. His hobbies are spending time with family, listening to music, and community involvement.
